Visiting the site

There are no cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and the pages load nothing from other companies' services. Fonts and images come from this site.

To deliver pages and keep the site secure, our hosting provider, Vercel, processes the technical information every website receives: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We don't use it to identify you or build a profile of you. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If you use the light and dark switch, your browser saves your choice on your own device, as "ge-theme", so the site remembers it next time. It's only saved when you use the switch, it never reaches us, and it holds nothing about you. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Booking a call

Calls are booked through Calendly. When you book, you give your name, your email address and anything you choose to add to the booking form. We use it to arrange the call, hold it, and follow up afterwards. Calendly handles this on our behalf. Calendly's own website sets its own cookies, which its privacy policy covers.

We rely on the steps you've asked us to take before we might work together (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Emailing us

We use your email address and what you write to reply to you. If you're asking about coaching, we rely on the steps you've asked us to take before we might work together (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Otherwise, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering messages (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If you become a client

Your coaching agreement sets out how we handle what you share in sessions. If your employer sponsors your coaching, what they see, if anything, is agreed in writing with you before coaching starts.

We keep the details needed for contracts and invoices, as Spanish law requires (Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).

Who else handles your information

We don't sell your information or share it for marketing. These providers handle it on our behalf, under contracts that bind them to our instructions:

  • Vercel Inc. (United States), for website hosting
  • Calendly LLC (United States), for booking calls
  • Google, through Google Workspace, for email and calendar
  • the video-call service named in your meeting invitation
  • our accountants and professional advisers, where needed to meet legal and tax obligations

We also share information with public authorities when the law requires it.

Information outside the EU

Vercel, Calendly and Google may process information in the United States. Those transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Email us if you'd like the details.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and bookings that don't lead to coaching: 12 months after our last contact, then deleted.
  • Session notes: 12 months after coaching ends, then deleted.
  • Contracts, invoices and accounting records: six years, as Spanish commercial law requires.
  • Hosting logs: a short period, set by Vercel's retention policy.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to send it to you or someone else in a portable format. Email paul@glasselevatorworks.com and we'll reply within a month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es). We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
